Health Education Teacher
The Charter High School for Law and Social Justice (LSJ) is seeking a dynamic, dedicated Health Education Teacher to join our faculty. LSJ serves students in grades 9–12, emphasizing academic rigor, law, and social justice in an inclusive and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do
Design and deliver engaging health education lessons aligned to NYS and national standards.
Teach essential health topics including nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and human development.
Facilitate diverse, inclusive physical activities that promote collaboration and skill-building.
Model and promote healthy behaviors and wellness culture throughout the school community.
Collaborate with school staff to align wellness initiatives and student support.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, or a related field
NYS Certification (or in-progress) in Health or PE.
At least two years of teaching experience
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Health/PE or related field
Experience teaching grades 9–12 in an urban setting
